University Intakes

Canadian universities and colleges typically offer three intakes. Processing times for Canadian study permits can take several weeks, so apply early.

Fall Intake (September)

Primary Intake: The most popular intake with the widest variety of programs offered across all universities and colleges.
Apply by: December to March

Winter Intake (January)

Secondary Intake: A great option for students who miss the Fall intake. Many core programs are available, though some specialized courses might not be.
Apply by: August to October

Spring / Summer Intake (May)

Limited Intake: Very few institutions offer this intake. It usually consists of short-term courses, specific diplomas, or co-op programs.
Apply by: January to February
